Board

Realizing “transparency is the only method of communication that works consistently,” the development of a board (advisory or otherwise) provides multiple levels of input and ideas that can keep your organization fresh and energetic.

Executive

Knowing the sign of a good leader is “one who occasionally gets ahead of their followers,” the next step is to engage in scenario planning in anticipation of the changes ahead.

Strategic

Remembering that “culture eats strategy for lunch,” a total assessment of the organization will provide the framework for organizational change that creates growth and profitability.

In most instances, we’ve “been there and done that”. The issues are remarkably the same for large institutional business and small to medium sized “family” business.

Mediation

Understanding that it’s not “One darn thing after another…..its a few darn things over and over and over. Remember the definition of insanity? It’s doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!

Home

So here you are….in the same place you’ve been so many other times…..you’ve got a business problem….but you can’t figure out a solution.

There are really only two kinds…those that you have to make the final decision……and those you want to make as a group. Important to know the difference!

In either case, you can involve others in the process, so long as you are transparent as to whose making the final decision! Facilitation is a great way to proceed.

Facilitation means thinking through and managing the what, when, why, how and who of decision making in a group. This process, properly led enables your people to do their best thinking and make their best decisions with commitment, enthusiasm, ownership and passion.

Well why can’t you just do that yourself, you might ask. After all you know more about the problem than any facilitator! Well yes you do…..and that’s part of the problem!

An effective facilitator is totally impartial, doesn’t try to influence the outcome, but insures that the group stays on track, keeps the focus and insures a decision. As an outsider, a facilitator encourages participation without putting people on the spot. We focus on the process, the people, the issues, resistance to change, communication styles and the organizations culture.

Organizations all have personalities, just like people. However, most owner/managers are not aware of the pitfalls in communication and commitment related to that personality!

As facilitators we are nothing if not flexible. We’re adaptive from a proactive mentality. We’re responsive to your situation, while resilient in navigating to the solution. We allow you to have prompt meaningful discussions, encourage healthy debates, and support and involve everyone in the process. Finally we ensure orderly conduct of all participants.
